Growing up in a multilingual environment

Spanish, French, and English. Starting at age 2, in Tout Petite Section, children are naturally exposed to Spanish and French with native and/or bilingual teachers. Through daily routines, songs, stories, and hands‑on activities, they begin learning both languages. From age 3, in Petite Section, they spend half of the day in Spanish and the other half in French, ensuring constant exposure to both languages, and they have their first contact with English twice a week. By ages 4 and 5, they participate in French/English split groups to work on oral expression in small groups. In this way, they progressively advance in their understanding of the three cultures and languages from an early age.

Awakening in the faith

Through the morning prayer they say each day and following the Notre Dame de Vie catechesis method, ‘Viens, suis‑moi’, they gradually discover God’s love. Each week, through prayer, dialogue, songs, hands‑on activities that help them remember what they have learned, and small celebrations, they come to know the Word of God and take Jesus as a model for living His teachings in their daily lives: prayer, gratitude, service to others, and simplicity.

Throughout their school years, they will continue to grow in the Faith and will have the opportunity to receive the Sacraments at the school, should they wish to do so.

Discovering the world

By tapping into children’s innate curiosity, we guide them as they explore the world around them, both inside and outside the classroom.

Starting at age 3, each term we plan activities, field trips, workshops, and theatre experiences that allow them to broaden their knowledge and have direct contact with real‑life situations.

We teach them how to live alongside others and promote values such as cooperation, solidarity, and respect from an early age—fundamental pillars for their social development.

Working in the school garden brings them closer to the natural world, helping them understand the importance of caring for and protecting the environment.

Each term, a Pedagogical Café is organized for parents, focusing on a variety of topics.

The family

At San Luis, we consider the joint work between families and the school essential throughout a child’s entire education, ensuring that both students and parents feel part of a large family. Only in this way can we create an atmosphere of trust and security, which is indispensable for any learning process.

Families are welcome to take part in classroom activities such as the ‘Star of the Week’ in the 4‑year‑old class, workshops, theatre performances, solidarity projects, themed days, and the Family Festival.
