Today we celebrated Thanksgiving with some students in 3rd grade. The class started out by watching a short video about the history of Thanksgiving. Next, we learned about how it’s currently celebrated. Last, students made a personal connection to the holiday by reflecting on what they are personally grateful for such as: family, particular places, and their own personal characteristics. It’s not often that we think about our blessings. But it is crucial that we do so, especially in times like these. We must remind ourselves that we are blessed to be alive!
