Fantastic results in the National Spelling Bee Competition
Last saturday the 11th of March, saw the final of the AMCO Spelling Bee competition at the Teatro Goya Madrid. It was a fantastic day for Saint Louis, with all three of our finalists beating off stiff competition from over 65 schools from all over Spain.
Luca S. from second grade and Carlos G. from 6th grade came in an impressive 3rd place in their respective age catagories, with Olivia B. from 4th grade winning a stunning second place in a closely fought battle in the 3rd and 4th grade catagory.
Overall a fantastic result for Saint Louis, who were the only school to go home with all three of their contestants in the top three. Congratulations to all of them!!
V Amco Debate League
Last Friday March 10th our students participated for the second time in the Amco Debate League and we can proudly say that they ended up achieving a brilliant 3rd position. The experience was challenging for Juana S., María L, Joaquin S. And Lola G., specially considering that they had to speak in their 2nd language and stand in front of an audience. We could feel how nervous they were, see their happiness when they completed each of the stages and we felt so satisfied when they congratulated the opponents who didn’t fare so well. Congratulations to everybody involved!
