Hello everyone,
My name is Patricia C.C. from 3º ESO and I am staying in Ireland for four months with the fantastic language program organized by the school. I just wanted to show you my everyday routine in Ireland and the differences between life in Spain and in Ireland.
When I wake up at 7 in the morning, everything must be done quickly because we leave home for school at 7:30. After having for breakfast some sausages and eggs, we take the car and leave. It takes us 30 minutes until we arrive into the school, that starts at 8:55. When the teacher arrives, we first pray, we take our books from our lockers and then start the class. After three classes of 40 minutes each, we have a little break of fifteen minutes at 10:45 for taking our snack. Then we have three classes again and after those classes, we have the lunch time: everyone has to bring their lunch from home. We have lunch inside the classroom, because it is cold outside and there is not canteen in my school. I normally have a sandwich with some chips and a drink. An hour later, classes restart and everyone is looking forward for the moment of going home. At quarter to four the bell rings and we leave our books again in the lockers and then go home. I have to walk five minutes until my host mum, whose name is Sabrina, picks me up and then we pick up my host brother called Alex. We arrive home at 4:30. Then I get changed and I start my homework because at 7, I have hockey practice. When I am already changed, I go downstairs and have dinner at 6:00 with the family. I leave at half past six and go to my hockey practice. When I come back at 8:15, I quickly have my shower, finish my homework and I skype with my family, so I can tell them how my day was. Then I do some questions from the Dual Diploma and then I go to sleep at 10:30 at night.
What a busy day!
I hope you enjoyed it and learned some of the differences between the life in Ireland and in Spain. I fully recommend this experience to everyone because it is very fun and you learn many things about different cultures.
